Why I’m Running

Growing up in a family that valued civic participation, public service, and voting, I have a deep appreciation for my parents for instilling me with those values and the opportunities that education and giving back to the community can provide. Those lessons inspired my dedication to strengthening our community and ensuring every voice is heard. They continue to guide my work on behalf of Rosemead every day.

Sandra Armenta smiles as she shakes hands with a community member outdoors while another attendee stands nearby, with trees, parked cars, and evening light in the background.

I’m running for re-election because I see improving Rosemead on behalf of all our residents as my life’s work. Since I was young I’ve only wanted to make my community a better place. We’ve accomplished so much together, but there’s more work to do. I see families struggling every day, frustrated with soaring costs and politicians in Washington failing us everyday.

I’m running because I want to make sure the city I love retains its unique neighborhood character and charm. That we face our housing crisis head-on and fight everyday on behalf of the families in our city.

If re-elected I’ll continue the great work we’ve done and:

  • Keep our streets safe and our neighborhoods protected.
  • Bring in new businesses and attract economic opportunities across Rosemead
  • Ensure more capital improvements across the city including sidewalk repairs, infrastructure improvements, and graffiti removal
  • Improve upon our beautification projects and make Rosemead an even better place to live, work, and shop
